The Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center is organizing some walking groups this summer. I think this is a great idea. Here is some info about the program and how to get involved:
Finger Lakes Health has offered to provide support and resources to neighbors who will commit to joining together and walking for thirty minutes at least once a week for three months. The first period for this healthy program will begin in June.
The Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center will host an informational session about this neighborhood walking program on Wednesday, May 23, 6:00-7:00pm at the GNRC, 105 Seneca St. Anyone interested in participating is welcome to attend.
Please RSVP by May 22 and indicate your interest in participating as a walker or volunteer walking group leader by emailing Marty@genevanrc.org or call: 315-828-6585.
